11 Awesome Chocolate Mint Treats You Will Want to Try This St. Patrick’s Day + Funtastic Friday

Chocolate Mint Treats

Chocolate, Mint, and St. Patrick’s Day

I love Chocolate.  A Lot.  And I love mint.  And I really like them mixed together.  With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, I think I can find all kinds of excuses to have chocolate mint treats.  I enjoy a great (non-alcoholic) Grasshopper Latte anytime, and Peppermint Patties are probably my favorite candy.

Do you have a favorite St. Patrick’s Day tradition?  I always try to wear green (not difficult, since it’s one of my favorite colors), and of course, eat lots of chocolate and peppermint flavored treats.  If you have kids or work with them, you have probably made lots of fun rainbow or pot of gold crafts!  There are plenty of fun ideas out there.

I know lots of people like to drink on St. Patrick’s.  That doesn’t appeal to me at all (I don’t drink!) so I put together this fun round-up of Chocolate Mint Treats as an awesome alternative for those of us who would like to channel our inner Leprechaun but don’t visit the local purveyors of green beer!

I can’t say I’m Irish, but I do love the color green, so these fantastic chocolate mint treats are exactly what I need to get into the spirit of this spring season!  Plus, winter might actually be over by March 17th…

There might not be a pot of gold hiding behind any of these yummy treats, but I promise you won’t miss it.

11 Awesome Chocolate Mint Treats You Will Want to Try this St. Patrick’s Day!

Are you ready?  Some of these are super easy!  And don’t forget to scroll to the bottom and link up with this week’s Funtastic Friday Linky Party!

Chocolate Mint Treats

This Minty Shamrock Cheeseball from Juggling Act Mama would make a fabulous treat for any St. Paddy’s Day Party.  I’m pretty sure you’d be a hero if you showed up with it.  Of course, you could just eat it yourself.  I won’t judge.

These beautiful Easy Oreo Mint Trifles from Coupons and Freebies Mom are so simple to put together, and that minty-flavored whipped cream is incredibly luscious.  This would be a fun dessert for your St. Patrick’s festivities!

I’m not the biggest Oreo fan (I know, America’s favorite cookie…), but the minty ones are pretty awesome!  These Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo Truffles from More than a Mom of Three take the Mint Oreo game to a whole new level, and they look amazing as well.  Make these, and everyone will think you’re a chocolate gourmet chef!  Or something like that.

Since “Pi Day” is so close to St. Patrick’s Day, I had to include this delicious Chocolate Fudge Mint No-Bake Pie from Sweets and Treats.  This decadent pie is just the thing to celebrate Pi.

Just to prove that chocolate mint can be healthy, too, I had to include this Mint Matcha Mocha Madness from Phruitful Dishes.  This smoothie can help address several types of health issues, but even if you don’t have a health concern to deal with, this delicious drink packs a powerful antioxidant punch!

Chocolate Mint Treats

These Mint Brownie Dessert Shooters from Typically Simple are so cute!  Perfectly portioned so you don’t have to feel guilty eating one (or two), and simple to put together, these are another fun party food!

I love Rice Krispie Treats.  While working as Programming Coordinator for the Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon, Rice Krispie Treats were one of my go-to treats to make for kids’ activities.  They are so versatile (I made everything from “Truffula Tree Treats” for Dr. Seuss month to “Lumps of Coal” for Polar Express Night), and everyone loves them!  These Chocolate Mint Rice Krispies from Thrifty Jinxy are a little more grown up, and just as delicious.

Grasshopper Brownie Bites from the Weeknight Chef make a fun twist on the traditional brownie.  These adorable little sandwiches are chocolatey mint heaven in bite-sized portions!

Who doesn’t love a good Shamrock Shake?  This Copycat Shamrock Shake from Cincy Shopper is a great way to save a little while getting on your Shamrock Shake fix, plus you have the ability to control what goes into your shake.  I’m always a little leery of McDonald’s food and am pretty sure their shakes are part chemical, at least!

It’s definitely Girl Scout Cookie Season, and these Stuffed Thin Mint Chocolate Cookies from Sweet and Savory Food will take your Thin Mints to a new level!  Not that Thin Mints need any help being awesome, of course.

Dark chocolate is so amazingly yummy, especially when combined with mint!  This Dark Chocolate Mint Bark from Dancing Through the Rain is simple to make and would make an amazing St. Patrick’s treat that is a little less sweet than some of the others shared here!

Which one will you try first?  Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to link up to the Funtastic Friday Link Party below (open until March 7th).

I use to love mint chocolate. It was my number one favorite, then karma bit me and I became allergic to chocolate at 45. Did I get thin. Ummmmmmm NO lol

Thank you for sharing your ideas and the link party.
