Top 7 Favorite Valentines Ideas + Funtastic Friday Link Party 112

7 Favorite Valentine's Ideas!

I’ve been enjoying all the amazing Valentines Ideas that are being shared around the internet this time of year.  Valentines has always been one of my favorite holidays (probably because I really, really love chocolate…).

My sweet hubby has always made sure Valentine’s Day is extra special.  In fact, he has a tradition of sneaking into my office early in the morning and filling it up with balloons.  He’s been doing this since before we got married.  This year, it’s likely that we won’t be in the same state on Valentine’s Day, so he got started early this year by traveling three hours back from our new location and bringing me roses and chocolates on an evening when I wasn’t expecting to see him!

I also love making Valentine’s cards.  You all know by now that I’m a little addicted to making greeting cards, so here is a little peek at some of my favorite card designs from the past couple of years (You can also check out Liz W. Designs for more info):

Because Valentine’s is so close to my heart (see what I did there?  Yes, you can roll your eyes at me), I thought it would be fun to showcase some of my favorite Valentine’s posts from last week’s Funtastic Friday Link Party!

My top favorite, and featured post of the week, are these Upcycled Valentine’s Decorations from Refresh Living:

These 3-dimensional Origami Hearts are another of my favorites!  I’m thinking they would look adorable in a Mason jar.

Of course, since I am a craft-aholic, and because I work with kids at a Children’s Museum, this fun Valentine’s Card Making Party caught my eye!  I know lots of crafty kids who would love the opportunity to create homemade Valentines.

Here’s some great information about keeping your Valentine’s flowers happy and healthy.

Of course, Valentine’s Day isn’t complete without chocolate treats!  I’m personally a muddy-buddy fan, and homemade muddy-buddies are the best!  These Valentine Muddy-Buddies are even gluten-free!

Cookies are great too, and these Rose Bud Butter Cookies are simply adorable!  Wendy talks about creating Military Care Packages, and sending cookies and treats to soldiers who need a little extra encouragement.

Finally, this post about real conversation hearts is definitely one of my top favorites, because my husband does this for me.  While I was asleep last year, he got up very early, sneaked into my craft room, and raided my crafting supplies for red cardstock and markers.  He then cut out more than a dozen hearts, wrote sweet sayings on them, and posted them all over the house where I would encounter them as I went about my morning routines (yep, he’s a keeper!).

How are you going to rock Valentine’s this year?  I’m looking forward to seeing all the creative new ideas in this week’s link party:
